Bishop Nicholas and Sister Judy Ferguson
Nicholas Ferguson and Judy Missick were born in Nassau, Bahamas. As fate would have
it, their paths crossed at the Soldier Road Church of God of Prophecy under the leadership of Bishop Leon Cox. As time passed, Nicholas and his parents migrated to the United States, in hopes of creating a better life.
During this time, they became members of the Hollywood Church of God of Prophecy, where Bishop Lloyd and Pauline Pratt were the pastors. In spite of the distance, he and Judy stayed in contact and their friendship progressed into a relationship. In 1980, they united as one and got married at the church where they met.
Thereafter, Judy Ferguson joined her husband in Hollywood, Florida and they began serving together, at their local church. Their passion for the Lord and His work grew. Therefore, they desired to acquire more knowledge, so they attended Bible Training Institute (BTI) in Cleveland, Tennessee. They received various certificates and credentials in leadership and biblical studies.
As a result of their commitment and dedication they were sent to organize a mission in the city of Oakland Park. Through their hard work, perseverance, diligence and consistency, they successfully established the Oakland Park Church of God of Prophecy. For the past 37 years they have been privileged to shepherd the flock that the Lord has blessed them with. As they reflect In their lives, they are grateful for their humble beginnings, their deceased parents (Ucal and Kemeletha Ferguson and Calvin and Ruth Missick), their church family and all their loved ones who have supported and encouraged them endlessly.
Furthermore, their greatest blessings are their four children and seven grandchildren. With all that God has bestowed upon them and afforded them to achieve, they live by the Mathew 6:33 principle, that when you seek the kingdom of God with all your heart, ALL THINGS shall be added unto you! Their word of encouragement tobelievers is to not let ANYTHING separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
